"I love autumn, the one season of the year that God seemed to have put there just for the beauty of it."

Here we are in Autumn, what does Autumn mean to you, to most people it is a reminder that winter is just round the corner but if you take the time to look around you then you will see that although the colourful flowers of spring and summer have gone there is an abundance of different colours on the trees and multi coloured carpets of leaves on the floor.

With that in mind remember to take care as wet leaves can be slippery.

Autumn means we are three quarters of the way through the year and with the help of a very good summer we have had some very enjoyable outings so far. It was so good to see those who came on our outing to Redcar enjoying a lemon top ice cream whilst admiring the sea view.

We still have some outings left this year and hopefully these will be just as enjoyable as the others.

I will continue to visit those who are unable to join us on our outings and will do my best to provide practical help where I can. Although I am only in the office one day a week you can leave a message on the answermachine as I pick up my messages every day .

God Bless

We are pleased to welcome two new volunteers to the Charity.

Brian Simpson is a new driver, but is also sharing his talents in fundraising for us.

Pam Dixon is a volunteer visitor, but is unable to visit at present, due to family commitments.

We are always needing new volunteers, so please if you know of someone who may be able to  drive for us once a month or make a commitment to a couple of hours  visiting each week please let Sue Case know.

Possible new service.

The Mission is exploring the possibility of introducing a new service of bringing elderly people to a place within their local area for tea and a chat enabling them to have contact with other people within their locality and make new Friends. This service is in the very early stages of planning but in order to progress further we need your views on whether such a service is needed and would be of benefit to you.

We would be very grateful if you could complete the attached short questionnaire and give it to Sue Case.
